Welcome
After the huge success of the The Willow Festival in 2012, the music extravaganza will return in July 2013 with the generous support of Peterborough City Council and our sponsors.
TWF will again be a free to enter family orientated festival.
The three day event attracted in excess of 50,000 visitors in 2012 and continues to be the city’s premier arts event showcasing 123 live bands and many solo acts as well as comedy and street acts.
The festival is not a big name event and is focused on unsigned or new acts of all genres, although it often attracts bigger name artists too. All the music at the festival is played live. No faking it, miming or boy / girl bands with backing tracks.
We don’t have a DJ’d dance tent, but we do have live bands performing R&B, funk, soul, ska and more. It’s not that we’re against dance tents, far from it, it’s just not what we do.
So, if you’re into live music of all types, and put music above celebrity, this is an event you should love.
Other attractions include our extreme ride fairground, kids fair, art and crafts demonstrations, food village, alternative and exotic market, fair price bars and general silliness.
