Willow Festival 10-11-12 July 2015
The Willow Festival will celebrate its tenth birthday in July 2015 and will return as a result of the generous support of our sponsors, patrons and those who donate. Started in 1998 TWF has been staged on nine previous occasions and we want to make our tenth a very special one, but as always, we need your help.
The three day event attracts a footfall of approximately 50,000 visitors each year and continues to be the city’s premier arts event showcasing 170+ live bands and solo acts. The festival is most probably the largest event of its type and remit in the world today.
TWF 2015 will again be a free to enter family orientated live music festival.
We want to keep this event FREE for everybody to enjoy, it has huge benefits for the area both commercially and in terms of quality of local life. So if you can afford it and if you feel you want to see TWF remain in this city and grow further, please help us by making a donation. Every penny goes towards the event, as it’s run entirely by unpaid volunteers and directors.
It’s easy to do, so please donate and support TWF 2015 here:
The Willow Festival is an event for emerging talent and is focused on unsigned or new acts of all genres, All of the music at the festival is played live. No faking it, miming or boy / girl bands with backing tracks.
We don’t showcase DJ’d or produced non-musician based music, however, live bands will be performing R&B, funk, soul, ska and many other genres. It’s not that we’re against processed music, far from it, it’s just not what we do.
So, if you’re into live music of all types, and put live music above celebrity, The Willow Festival is an event you should love.
